Account & Data Deletion: BAMF Tracker
BAMF Tracker uses accounts (email/password, with optional Google Sign-In) and is self-hosted: each business runs its own instance and controls all of its data. Deletion is therefore performed by the instance's administrator, not by the publisher (BAMF Apps), because we have no access to any instance's data.
If you are a user/employee on a BAMF Tracker instance
Ask your administrator to delete your account. They can do this in the app's user management (Settings → Users). On account deletion:
- Deleted: your login credentials (hashed password), your session tokens, and your profile details.
- Reassigned or retained: business records you created or were associated with (such as jobs, notes, quotes, timesheets, and activity history) may be retained or reassigned by the business for operational, accounting, and legal reasons. Ask your administrator about their retention practice.
If you are an administrator (Operator)
You can delete accounts and records directly in the app:
- Delete a user: Settings → Users → remove the user. This removes their credentials and sessions.
- Delete a customer/contact and related records: open the record and delete it; this removes the stored data for that record from your instance's database.
- Delete everything: because you host the instance, you can also remove all data by deleting the instance's database/backups on your server, or by decommissioning the instance.
Note that deletions affect your active database; any backups you have made separately retain data until you rotate or delete those backups.
To request help with deletion
If you need help, contact:
We will help you understand how to perform the deletion in your instance. We cannot perform it for you, because we do not have access to your data.
What the publisher holds
BAMF Apps does not maintain a central account system for BAMF Tracker and does not store your instance's data. If you contacted us by email, we retain that correspondence only as needed to support you; ask us and we will delete it.
